Legal Secretary - Personal Injury

My client, a leading law firm, is recruiting for a Personal Injury Legal Secretary to join their team.

The role will involve assisting and supporting the fee earners providing exemplary secretarial services. This role involves more than just typing and basic secretarial/admin duties, it will provide you with an opportunity to expand on your skills and knowledge by undertaking duties such as drafting court documents and preparing trial bundles as well as producing documents using digital dictation and case management systems.

Previous experience as a legal secretary is not essential as full training will be given although candidates must have at least 1 year’s experience of working in a busy office environment. The candidate must have a friendly and professional attitude, be adaptable and willing to take on more complex workloads.

The role would suit someone who is organised, works well under pressure, accurate, has an aptitude for learning and excellent attention to detail. The candidate should have strong spoken and written communication skills and must also work well independently and as part of a team in order to meet deadlines.

Candidates must be able to type at least 60 words per minute and may be required to undertake a typing & proof reading test. Excellent IT skills and experience of using Microsoft Office is essential and candidates must also possess 4 GCSE’s grades C or above including English and Maths.

You would be working in an open plan office with 13 others and will be responsible for supporting 4 fee earners in a busy fast paced environment.
