Legal Secretary or Trainee Legal Secretary - Private Client

Our client whom are one the largest most prestigious law firms across Dorset and Somerset have a fantastic opportunity.

They currently have a full-time requirement for a Secretary to a Partner in their Dorchester office.

This role may suit:
· A Private Clientl legal secretary
· A legal secretary currently working in another area of law who is willing to cross train in commercial law
· A secretary or strong administrator with good typing skills looking to train into the legal sector
· A trainee secretary looking for their next step


Knowledge, Experience and Skills required

· Previous relevant office experience
· Legal secretarial qualification (desirable)
· Typing skills of not less than 35 wpm (progressing to 60wpm)
· High standard of written and spoken English
· Microsoft Office skills (Word and Excel as required for the role)
· Ability to work effectively as part of a team as well as working on own initiative
· Ability to prioritise effectively
· Good organisational and communication skills
· Adaptability and flexibility
· Professionally presented
· A high degree of diplomacy and confidentiality in respect of clients and clients matters
