Legal Secretary - Float
Multiple Offices in Surrey & London
Well established and leading South East, Legal 500 law firm in Surrey are seeking a Legal Secretary to work across a range of departments and offices in a float capacity. Areas to be covered will include Property, Family, Private Client and Dispute Resolution.
This role will be to assist fee earners in their day to day work by providing support and an efficient secretarial and administrative service to all departments within the firm:
- Providing full secretarial support including using a digital dictation system to produce correspondence and other documentation related to legal transactions.
- Maintenance of comprehensive and accurate client admin files.
- Support fee earners in marketing activities.
- General team administration including photocopying, faxing, filing and scanning.
- Meeting and greeting clients.
- Handling telephone enquiries and directing accordingly.
- Arranging meeting room bookings/travel arrangements.
- Travel to each office as required (most of their offices are in walking distance of train stations)
Desired skills and experience:
- Legal Secretary experience essential within Residential and Commercial Property, Private Client and Family law
- Ideally with experience working as a float secretary covering multiple areas of law.
- Fast, accurate typing ability, ideally using digital audio systems.
- Experience of using case management system.
- IT literate - Microsoft Word / Excel / Outlook / Digital Audio software / Case Management.
You will be based at the office nearest to your home location and then will be paid travel costs from that office to the office you will be working in each day.
