Job Type: Permanent

Woking Hours: 9am - 5pm. Monday - Friday

Salary £23,000pa.

We are looking for a highly motivated, committed, organised and experienced legal secretary to join our clients Company Commercial Practice Group to support legal advisers. You will be required to deliver an excellent client service in an increasingly competitive market.

You will be responsible for a varied range of activities including:

  • Pro-active and appropriate use of Document Production

  • Undertaking the file management process for legal advisers, proactively managing manual/electronic filing and archiving.

  • Contribute to the development of the business, delivering excellent service to clients

  • Support with marketing and Business Development related activities including organising events, marketing materials and Meet & Greets

  • Assist legal advisers with follow up to business development activities, such as drafting letters, arranging follow up meetings and diarising reminders.

  • Organising and planning meetings, to include coordinating agendas and papers for internal and external meetings, booking travel and arranging for necessary equipment and refreshments

  • Highly proactive and responsive travel and diary management

  • Acting as liaison point for clients and colleagues, screening calls, delivering a positive client experience

  • Work as part of a wider secretarial team; supporting and covering for other secretaries and legal advisers as required

  • Proactive Billing and Financial Support; monthly/quarterly billing runs; management of client accounts; resolving internal/external financial queries; preparation and submission or payment of third party invoices, dealing with incoming and outgoing monies.

  • Supporting with event organisation, including office social and charity events

Skills and experience:

It is essential that the candidate will have a good level of legal secretarial experience within a professional environment. MS Office skills are essential.

It is expected that you will be able to proactively support a team of legal advisers and key clients, produce high quality documents, manage busy diaries, arrange travel itineraries and will have an enthusiastic and proactive approach to dealing with day to day tasks. You will also need to be flexible, open minded and confident in taking on tasks which are outside of the usual role.
