Legal Secretary/Administrator

An exciting opportunity for a well-established firm based in Leicester are looking for a Legal Secretary/Administrator to join their team. You will be reporting the the head of Care Department.

Key Duties:

  • Answering the telephone/taking messages in the absence of fee earners
  • Audio-typing
  • Copy typing
  • Opening files
  • Diary management for fee earners
  • General file administration
  • To manage electronic case files
  • Typing for care solicitors
  • To ensure that all typing is kept up to date
  • To update Court bundles when required
  • To support fee earners in their daily duties
  • To assist any duties as may be required from time to time

Essential:

  • Good GCSE grades and at least a C in English
  • Good typing and audio typing qualifications
  • Legal Experience
  • Ability to cope under pressure
  • Friendly & helpful manner

Desirable:

  • Experience in Family and/or Child Care Law
  • Ability to multi-task
