Legal Records Manager - Archivist - Birmingham - £35,000

Legal Records Manager with experience in records management and archive destruction is required by a leading law firm in central Birmingham.

Skills and experience you will have:

  • 2 years in a similar records manager / Archive Manager role, with experience in archive destruction and records management
  • an ARA accreditation is desirable, not essential
  • excellent communication skills, liaising with colleagues, storage providers and suppliers
  • solid negotiation skills to influence others at different levels

The role:

They are looking for an Archive Records Manager to join their Business Operations team,

You will be responsible for effectively managing their electronic and paper-based information, appropriately preserving and destroying legacy data in line with current ARA legislations.

Your key duties will be:

  • overseeing the management of electronic and paper-based information within the law firm
  • work closely with their file storage providers in identifying legacy files/systems and storage
  • identifying appropriate record-management resources and establishing new systems
  • maintaining and evaluating current and new archiving processes and storage
  • managing the data archive and data destruction process
  • researching and advising on legal and regulatory matters, often involving judgements in areas such as data protection matters, including GDPR and other legislation

The firm is a top 50 law firm in the UK going through a massive period of growth. This is a new role and can offer some excellent career progression. My client is looking to pay a starting salary of between £30,000 - £35,000. To apply send your CV to or press apply now.
