The client are a unique law enforcement organisation which both investigate and prosecute the most serious economic crime. They focus on criminal conduct (top tier fraud, bribery and corruption) which undermines confidence in UK plc and the City of London in particular, compromises the level playing field that investors deserve, or has a particularly strong public interest dimension.
The Proceeds of Crime Division (POCD) is a specialist operational division which comprises a multidisciplinary team that conducts confiscation proceedings, associated restraint and receivership proceedings, money laundering investigations and civil recovery work, with the aim of recovering the proceeds of crime.
Purpose of the Post
The post holder will be responsible for providing executive support to the Proceeds of Crime Division and will require excellent administrative abilities, good communication skills with an ability to build effective professional relationships across all levels, both internally and externally. You will be working as part of a team which often has to deliver to tight deadlines and requires working under pressure and use of initiative. Specific responsibilities will include dealing with Counsel and agency staff fees, assisting lawyers and investigators with court bundles, drafting letters to external parties, booking in case material and converting and formatting documents.
The work may include:
*Providing effective and efficient administrative support to all functional units within the Division, including;
*Carrying out general administrative duties such as filing, photocopying and drafting of correspondence and court bundles.
*Drafting agendas and taking minutes at divisional meetings and ensuring accurate summaries are distributed to relevant team members.
*Processing financial transactions for the Division, such as raising purchase orders and recording invoices.
*Recording, processing and transmitting evidential material in accordance with company policies and procedures;
*Providing support for searches on Companies House, Land Registry and other internet databases.
*Assisting with identifying improvement processes to deliver a smarter support mechanism to the administration function of the team.
*Assisting with the arrangements for conducting interviews. i.e. room bookings
*Supporting the Divisional Business Manager in meeting corporate responsibilities.
*Booking in case material.
*Manage the translation of foreign material and keep track of those that have been translated and book them in.
*Send interview discs for transcription.
