Our client, a prestigious US law firm is seeking an experienced Legal Cashier to join their expanding finance team. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in a busy, supportive environment, reporting directly to the Financial Controller.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the accounts payable function
  • Perform daily bank reconciliations for office and client accounts
  • Reconcile supplier statements
  • Process cheques, BACS, CHAPS, Faster Payments and International Payments
  • Handle petty cash and reconciliation
  • Ensure professional disbursements are processed accurately and on time
  • Resolve queries and liaise with partners, fee earners, and secretaries
  • Assist with bill preparation during busy periods
  • Manage client-to-office account transfers
  • Prepare banking of incoming cheques
  • Support billing manager with bill processing and WIP reviews
  • Write off time and disbursement balances as instructed
  • Adhere to Solicitors Accounts Rules (SARs)


Candidate Profile

  • Proven experience as a Legal Cashier within a law firm
  • Strong knowledge of Solicitors Accounts Rules (SARs)
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication skills for liaising across the firm
