Legal Cashier

I am delighted to be partnering with an exceptional global law firm, recruiting for a Legal Cashier in either their Sheffield or Manchester office. The UK Finance team is primarily based in Chelmsford and London, with a strong presence across eight global offices, including Manchester and Sheffield. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop a career in legal cashiering.

What You'll Be Assisting With:

• Checking and posting a high volume of professional disbursements to correct disbursement type codes, ensuring accurate onward billing in compliance with jurisdictional revenue tax requirement.
• Handling incoming and outgoing payments, including client and office transactions, as well as internal bank transfers.
• Ensuring the lodgement of client account cheques in accordance with jurisdictional Law Society rules and regulations.
• Posting accurate financial transaction entries into the firm's Elite 3E system, maintaining full compliance with SRA Accounts Rules.
• Processing daily disbursement payment runs and other urgent office payments for all jurisdictions.

What We're Looking For:

• 3-5 years' experience working in a law firm's Finance department
• Good level of IT skills, including Word and Excel.
• Ideally, working experience of Elite 3e or similar financial systems.
