Part time Legal Cashier required for a well-established practice in the Maidstone area!

The Firm
Our client is a traditional firm with a good reputation in East Sussex. They are a full service firm committed to providing quality services at a cost effective manner. With multiple offices throughout the region, they are staffed with an experienced team of Lawyers and Support staff who prides themselves in delivering excellent client care at all times. They are now seeking a Legal Cashier to join their team in the Maidstone area on part time basis. The Role
A new opportunity for a Legal Cashier has arisen within a department in the Maidstone area. With previous experience within an accounts department in the legal framework, this is a hands on role suited to a motivated individual who has good attention to detail and good numeracy skills. You will undertake a wide range of duties to include: daily bank reconciliations; preparing and submitting VAT returns; managing purchase and nominal ledger; cash flow; year-end procedure; BACS; processing financial payments; handling petty cash and; billings.

The successful Legal Cashier will have gained an ILFM qualification or an AAT NVQ Level 2 qualification or its equivalent and be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Excel. Demonstrating working knowledge of the SRA, you will communicate in a clear and concise manner. The role is offered on a part time, permanent basis.

The Candidate
You must be a legal Cashier with solid background within the legal framework;
ILFM qualification or an AAT NVQ level 2 or equivalent qualification is highly desirable;
You must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office suite including Excel;
You will be familiar with the Solicitors Accounts Rules;
You will have good attention to detail;
You will be able to handle a diverse caseload under minimum supervision;
You will be able to work well within a team and on own initiative;
You will be highly numerate.
