I am seeking a Legal Assistant to join one of the most successful and well-respected Litigation firms in London. Based in the Immigration team, we are ideally looking for a candidate that has a passion/interest in this area of law. Working with an international client base it is desirable that you have a second language - Mandarin, Russian, Arabic or Polish would be ideal! This is a 6 month fixed term contract that will go permanent for the right person!

Main duties will include:

  • Variety of administration tasks such as typing and amending attendance documents, photocopying, taking minutes, billing and handling reports
  • Preparing and sending out letters, emails and other correspondences
  • Preparing signed correspondence for despatch
  • Diary management - appointments and travel
  • File opening and closing, preparing retainer letters and conflict checks
  • Knowledge management - creation and maintenance of precedents
  • Travel and passport reviews
  • Liaising with clients in a professional manner over the phone and face to face
  • Keeping the database up-to-date at all times

Ideally the successful candidate will have:

  • Their LLB/GDL
  • Previous Legal experience in a law firm or professional services team
  • A resilient and confident attitude as you will dealing directly with clients
  • A bubbly, enthusiastic and proactive approach to their work
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • A self-starter attitude
