Legal Assistant

A great opportunity has arisen for all junior aspiring legal professionals for a Legal Preparation Assistant role.

The General Medical Council are seeking assistants to join their close knit, in-house legal team to work in a fascinating area of law, working on a uniquely varied and sometimes high-profile caseload.

You will be part of a team supporting solicitors by progressing and preparing cases that have been referred to the Medical Practitioner's Tribunal Service (MPTS).

The role may involve everything from preparing hearing bundles, to liaising with doctors, complainants, witnesses, defence representatives, employers and members of the public in order to provide case information and updates. An unwavering attention to detail needs to be combined with the ability to interact well with colleagues, the medical profession and the public.

The role is based within the Spinningfields office, situated in the heart of Manchester City Centre.
