Legal Assistant for Global Law Firm

An exciting law firm based in the City Centre are currently seeking a Legal Assistant to join their Wealth Protection team; which consist of 3 Solicitors and 2 Paralegals but are continuing to grow at a rapid rate. The main role of the Legal Assistant will be to support the Birmingham team but also to support the wider Wealth Protection team across their other UK offices. The majority of their clients are private individuals and due to the high level of client contact will mostly be a telephone based role but also will be some face to face elements to this role. This is a high pressure environment where the office atmosphere is one of collaboration with everyone working cross office so the suitable person must be flexible and adaptable with a strong ability to work electronically.

The company are really looking for the right type of person for this role and are keen for the person to have the right fit within the team.

Key attributes and skills include:

  • A great ability to be pro active and deliver a quality service to internal and external clients.

  • Demonstrate enthusiasm and interest in the role and area of work.

  • Ability to work under pressure by prioritising and being organised and efficient

  • Excellent working knowledge of various application- word, outlook and digital dictation.

  • A methodical approach with a key eye for detail.

  • A friendly, calm and helpful approach to dealing with queries.

Day to day this day will be a very varied role but may include:

  • Liaising with clients and suppliers

  • Typing notes and reports

  • Opening and closing client files

  • Diary Management

  • Organising meetings and international travel

  • Phone handling and dealing with enquiries

  • Preparing expenses claims
