Your new company
You will be working through Hay Social Care as a bank leaving care support worker in services that support young people 16-24 in homes that support them in transitioning into independent living.
Your new role
You will work in both solo and group living homes with young people aged 16-24. You may work as part of a team or lone work. You will be responsible for overseeing the home, logging activities of the young people, following care plans and missing persons procedures.
You will work 24 hour shifts with sleep-ins in the home, supporting the residents in their daily routines, financial management, household tasks and liaise with external agencies including healthcare and social workers.
You will work both within a team and in lone-working environments.
What you'll need to succeed
- Experience of working with children or young people in a residential setting
- Knowledge of mental health and CSE would be beneficial
- Ideally NVQ Level 2 Health and Social Care or Care Certificate
- Ideally be a driver
- Resilient character
