ITN Mark Education is working with an alternative provision in Somerset to recruit learning support workers on a permanent basis.
It's a school that caters for students who have been excluded from mainstream school, and are referred so that they have a bit of time out, some one on one support, a personalised curriculum, and a bit of counselling before they go back to their school.
We're holding a recruitment event just after the Easter holidays with the head teacher and some members of senior leadership, because they want to be able to look past CVs and meet with people who are interested in being able to support students in this kind of environment.
Ideally we're looking for people with experience of supporting young people in schools, but we've also found that carers and adult support workers often make the transition into this type of work really well too. If you're interested in supporting these (sometimes very challenging) students in finding their way back to mainstream school though, even if you're not experienced, we want to hear from you.
Due to the rural nature of the school, and the fact that there are 3 separate sites, you'll need to be able to drive and have your own car for this job.
If you had any questions, give Laura or Andy a call at the ITN Mark Bristol office, or send in your CV using the link below.
