Learning Support Assistant | East London | ASAP Start | £82.14-£100 per day

Reeson Education is recruiting for a committed Learning Support Assistant to join a thriving primary school in the borough of Waltham Forest. This Learning Support Assistant role is perfect for someone who is passionate about making a real difference to children with special educational needs across Walthamstow, Leyton, Leytonstone, Chingford, Highams Park, and Woodford.

The Role: As a Learning Support Assistant, you'll be supporting pupils with a range of SEN including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and Speech & Language needs. This Learning Support Assistant position involves working on a 1:1 basis and within small groups, helping children access their learning and develop both academically and socially.

Key Responsibilities:

• Providing targeted support for pupils with SEN from EYFS to KS2
• Delivering interventions under the guidance of teachers and the SENCO
• Supporting children with EHCP plans to meet their individual targets
• Helping pupils develop independence and confidence in the classroom
• Using positive behaviour strategies to support emotional regulation

What We're Looking For:

• Experience working as a Learning Support Assistant or in a similar SEN role
• A caring, patient approach with excellent communication skills
• Understanding of different SEN needs and how to support them effectively
• Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
• Desirable: Knowledge of PECS, Makaton, or sensory strategies
