Learning Support Assistant

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide tailored support to students with special educational needs (SEN) and other learning requirements
• Work closely with teachers to assist in planning and delivering lessons that meet the individual needs of students
• Foster a positive, inclusive learning environment that encourages student engagement and participation
• Help manage student behaviour in line with the school's policies, promoting a respectful and safe atmosphere
• Offer emotional and pastoral support to students, contributing to their overall well-being and personal development
• Liaise with parents, carers, and external agencies to ensure students receive comprehensive support
• Support students during exams and assessments, helping to reduce anxiety and ensure they perform to the best of their abilities

What We Are Looking For:

• Previous experience in a similar role, preferably within a secondary school setting
• A genuine passion for education and supporting young people
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents
• Patience, empathy, and resilience
• A commitment to promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion in education
