Are you a Learning Support Assistant with experience working with students diagnosed with ASD? Are you looking to work is a highly supportive ASD Centre?
A two-form entry primary school with an ASD (Autistic Spectrum Disorder) Centre is currently looking for an adaptable and experienced Learning Support Assistant to join their team. This role is to start ASAP and will continue until the end of the academic year with the possibility of the role extending into September 2018.
You will be working with highly experienced team who personalise the Learning and Curriculum to suit individual needs and abilities. The students within the centre follow a highly creative curriculum that ties in within the rest of the school
Your role will be to;
*Support implementation of strategies to manage behaviour
*Feed back to the teacher on progress made
*Encourage students to take responsibility for their own learning and promoting development of self-esteem
*Prepare resources and materials
*Assist in setting out learning materials and set out materials for use appropriate to the planned activities
*Contributing effectively to planning of joint actions within the team
*In return you will be working with a team of dedicated professionals who work collaboratively to ensure all pupils make progress and achieve their best
