Learning Support Assistant

We are working with a secondary school in County Durham area who are looking a Support Assistant to work one-to-one with a hearing impaired student. The student is able to lip read, so there is not a requirement for the successful candidate to know sign language.

This is a medium sized school that caters for pupils aged 11-16 and serves an area with high levels of socio-economic deprivation.

Aa the successful candidate you will have ideally have experience of working within a similar role, and / or have a level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification.

  • We require a fully comprehensive CV dating back to secondary education with all gaps in employment or study detailed.
  • References will be taken prior to interview.
  • If you do not have a DBS certificate that is registered with the DBS Update Service, a new DBS check will need to be made (full assistance will be provided
