Key stage 1 and 2, Experienced Teaching Assistant or Learning Support Assistant, challenging behaviour
Your new company
Working alongside Hays, a small and thriving primary school located next to Dartmoor are looking for an experienced Learning Support assistant to join their existing team.
The school has close ties with the community, with 3 mixed aged classes where the love for education is instilled at an early age and individual needs are catered for.
With its sister school nearby, you may also be offered the chance tow work across both schools, gaining a wealth of experience from an array of teaching styles and management techniques.
Your new role
You will be working with a range of ages through Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, helping out when necessary with students requiring additional support. Your work day will be varied, working 1 to 1 and with small groups, adapting to each new challenge as they come. You will be supported, given the opportunity to work in a forest school, with the chance of being taken on permanently. The role is full time, working 8.30 until the end of the school day, allowing for any time required to finish up and help the teacher tidy away.
What you'll need to succeed
You will be passionate about working with children, with experience managing challenging behaviour and working with small groups and 1 to 1 when required. Qualifications are not necessary but advantageous, and experience is key for you to excel in this position.
