Are you a committed Learning Support Assistant looking for a fixed term or permanent contract in Scarborough?
I am currently seeking a number of Learning Support Assistants to work in a Post 16 setting in central Scarborough. The work will be supporting learners with a range of Special Educational Needs or Behavioural Difficulties, such as MLD, ASC, Aspergers or PD.
As a Learning Support Assistant you will be required to provide support for pupils within a mainstream classroom environment, as well as on placement days if required. Support can be on an individual 1:1 basis or with a small number of students with learning difficulties. Due to an increase in students attending College with EHCP's, the College are needing a number of Support staff. The students may require specific tailored support. As some students have complex additional needs, it is very important as a Learning Support Assistant to have a very patient and calming nature.
- Experience with children, either in an educational, youth or health care capacity
- Experience with additional needs
- DBS- Child Only on the update service or one applied for through Teaching Personnel
- 6 year career history with applicable references
- Own transport or access to central Scarborough
- Minimum of GCSE A*-C in Maths and English

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
