The school are looking to meet a Learning Support Assistant who can demonstrate their intelligence and ability to work hard to learn the primary curriculum. As a Learning Support Assistant you will need to have strong subject knowledge; the school are particularly keen to meet graduates who have previous school-based experience as a Teaching Assistant or Learning Mentor.
The Learning Support Assistant should have excellent communication skills and the ability to use these to differentiate the learning material for pupils of all abilities by stretching your gifted pupils and encouraging those who need extra support.
About the Role
As a Learning Support Assistant will be working with pupils across a key stage to support their learning mainly in core subjects- English, Mathematics and Science. You will also work within the classroom alongside a Class Teacher which will give you great insight into exemplary teaching and the opportunity to gain outstanding teaching skills.
The Learning Support Assistant will be directed by the schools qualified and experienced SENCO who will support you in facilitating sessions to boost the academic achievement of pupils, particularly those pupils with Special Educational Needs.
