Hays Education are working in partnership with high achieving schools situated in Eastbourne and consequently are looking for Learning Support Assistants to join their expanding staff teams.
Your new role
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will be responsible for supporting the academic development of students, through supervising small groups, working one to one with students, managing challenging behaviour and motivating students to take responsibility for their own learning. You will work closely with the classroom teachers and take responsibility for assessing and monitoring academic progress.
What you'll need to succeed
You will be an individual with outstanding communication skills, who has previous and relevant experience of working within the UK National Curriculum. You will be highly organised and able to motivate students to engage with their learning and enable them to achieve their potential. You will be a team player who is able to work closely with other teaching staff and collaborate with them to write IEPs and create learning resources. You will also be resilient and innovative in your approach to working with young people.
