Working in partnership with the successful Hays education team, your new Primary school is in Torbay, with aims of maintaining core values while engaging, inspiring and enriching the education of their Key stage 1 and Key stage 2 students. The school prides itself on its understanding and training of SEN which you will also be working alongside.
Your new role
Your new job will entail working with small groups, large groups and 1:1 in a general teaching assistant and learning support assistant role. You will be working with SEN students for part of the day, and spending the rest of your day working in a class aiding the teacher with a pre-set plan. You will be working and supported by the school and Hays to uphold core values, encouraging a lively and enjoyable environment in the classroom to help the students excel.
What you'll need to succeed
You will be a fun and lively individual who can create an enjoyable learning environment. You will have experience in the classroom as a teaching assistant or learning support assistant, working with and leading small groups and working 1:1 with students requiring extra support. Experience with SEN is not required, but would be advantageous. A want to experience SEN teaching is a must, finding pride in aiding education and social development.
