Broad Education Staffing are now interviewing Teaching Assistant and Learning Support Assistant candidates with a suitable background in Complex ASC / Behaviour Support for a long-term role in a Special School in Blaenau Gwent. The centre caters for primary school aged children with Complex and challenging Autistic Spectrum Conditions, so candidates with experience in supporting pupils with similar needs is essential.

The initial period of employment through Broad Education Staffing will be expected to begin in January 2018 and to run on until at least Summer 2018. With both sides being happy at the end of that Term, it is expected that contract opportunities will be available for the successful candidate to transition from temp-to-perm work.

Candidates that have a strong classroom presence and who have the energy and strength necessary to support children with Complex ASC and/or Behavioural Issues and behavioural difficulties are particularly invited to apply.

Learning Support Assistant - ASC - What you need

In order to comply with Broad Education Staffing’s strict adherence to Safer Recruitment legislation, candidates must hold (or be prepared to apply and pay for) an enhanced DBS disclosure, registered with the DBS Update Service. They must also must be (or become) registered with the EWC and have referees that can be approached to reference their experiences of school/child work.
