Learning Mentor, South East London

Prospero Teaching is currently looking for an experienced Learning Mentor to work within schools located in Bexley, East Dulwich, Southwark, Southwark, Dartford, Catford, Lee and Bromley.

Job Specification & Responsibilities:

-To work collaboratively as a member of the Student Wellbeing Team liaising with
other team members as necessary.

-To be responsible for new referrals for Learning Mentor support for designated year
group attachment, evaluating appropriate thresholds and liaising with Heads of Year.

-To organise and work to a daily timetable of support, including the Duty Rota and
ensure that agreed ethical boundaries are observed when working with students.

-To record and maintain detailed information of students being supported and provide
appropriate feedback as necessary to relevant staff e.g. HoY, DHoY, Safeguarding
Team.

-As necessary, to communicate with parents/carers of specific students to ensure
positive involvement and engagement in support being provided.

-To attend regular team meetings and training as appropriate.

-To liaise and attend meetings with outside agencies as appropriate including,
CHeWs, CAMHS, Family Wellbeing and Social Care.

-To attend Bexley Borough network meetings/training as appropriate.
Additional Responsibilities

-To carry out additional duties, as the Learning Mentor Manager or Student Wellbeing
Co-ordinator may reasonably request from time to time.

-To promote and safeguard the welfare of all students in accordance with the School's
Child Protection Policy.

-To comply and work within the school's Health and Safety Policy.

-To work within the school's Equality Policy - The Equality Duty.

-To undertake professional development as identified in the staff review process.
