Learning and Development Coordinator (FTC)

Due to exciting growth we are now looking for a Learning and Development coordinator on a fixed-term 12 months contract! The L&D Influencer’s role is to inspire and engage our people with personal development and the learning needed to achieve our Mission of becoming the Coolest Multi Channel Boutique in the World. Using the tools and approach of a fashion influencer, they will engage our people through all internal channels of communication and best in class learning solutions.

The Day Job:

  • Facilitate engaging and insightful learning to Browns Head Office Non-Management and Retail teams.
  • Drive audience engagement with Bitesized learning through regular and targeted content via internal social networking (Workplace) and communication channels (briefing tools in retail etc.).
  • On-board all new starters at Browns ( Hello) with our new induction programme.
  • Support the Mentors that underpin the Longboarding Programme to guide our new team members through their integration:
  • Holding Monthly Mentor Meetings - including facilitating any Mentor Skills training
  • Being the go-to for Mentors needing support
  • Maintaining programme content integrity - checking everything is current
  • Building relationships with the teams in Retail and working with the L&D Partner to create or curate appropriate learning solutions.
  • Ensure the training room bookings and attendance for sessions held in Head Office and Retail are managed.

Key Projects:

  • Curate, Create and publish Bitesized content to underpin the upcoming Task Force Learning Cycles for managers.
  • Manage logistics around Induction video content shoots.
  • Assist with production of the Browns Hello programme, including assisting on video shoots and collaborating on the training materials.
  • Support the pilot of Longboarding prototype modules in Retail.
  • Support 'Internal Influencers’ with content publication.
  • Produce 'The Thread’ briefing and Bitesized training content in collaboration with the Retail Director and wider Retail teams.
  • Co-facilitate Mentor Training Session for Longboarding Mentors in Retail.
  • Maintain Learner Administration for Longboarding LMS platform.
  • Advanced skills and experience with Microsoft Office tools, in particular MS PowerPoint and MS Word.
  • Some exposure to use of tools such as camera and video would be handy!

Required Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

  • Experience working in fashion/retail environment and keen interest in internal communications and L&D arena.
  • Fashion forward social media influencer, with an eye for innovation and trends.
  • Excellent writing skills to create high impact and qualitative communication materials for internal audiences.

  • Strong relationship building skills with ability to influence co-workers.
  • Natural presenter, with a passion for delivery and facilitating.
  • Ability to bring new creative learning and development ideas to the table.

  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Well organised and flexible with ability to work under pressure, handling competing priorities and responding to matters with urgency.
