We have an exciting opportunity for a Learning and Development Business Partner to join the phs Group. The purpose of the role is to Design and deliver sales training and development to sales professionals in phs’s UK and Ireland, with a particular focus on our UK Hygiene businesses.

As a senior member of the L&D team, you will be proactively contributing to the design and delivery of Learning and Development, HR Strategy and the phs business Plan.

The initial focus, and the majority of time, will be spent supporting our Hygiene businesses (washrooms, floorcare and healthcare) in the UK. This reflects the importance of those businesses to phs Group.

Responsibilities

TNA

·Work proactively and closely with the HR team - who are responsible for providing effective TNA and determining Learning Priorities based on business requirements.

·From that TNA you’ll be designing and delivering high quality training in an appropriate timely manner insuring cost-effective L&D solutions for Sales.

Induction

·Own and deliver the Sales Induction Programmes for the UK and Ireland, with a particular focus on the Commercial Hygiene division

·Provide leadership guidance and support to other businesses so that effective Sales induction arrangements are in place in all our businesses

Sales Training and Development

·Design and deliver sales training and development programmes in house for Sales Management, Account Management, Business Development, Field Sales and Telesales colleagues, with a particular focus on our Hygiene businesses

·With the Head of Learning and Development, identify manage and review externally procured sales L&D initiatives and programmes where such programmes are required

·Take ownership and deliver the phs Sales Academy Programme

·With the Head of Product Development, design plan and deliver effective training for existing products, enhancements to existing products, and new products in the Hygiene businesses

·Proactively contribute to the design and successful implementation of sales portfolios and information (led by the Marketing team)

·With the Sales Process Trainer, ensure all sales managers and professionals have a thorough understanding of systems (including Salesforce, Wildebeest, etc) and can use them effectively

Management Development

·Proactively support the design and delivery of Management training and development, talent management, and succession planning across phs UK and Ireland

Customer Services Training

·Proactively support customer service training and development across the UK and Ireland where development initiatives can drive sales, with a particular focus on the Hygiene businesses

Specialist Functions and Portfolio Businesses

·Provide professional support and guidance to the leaders and managers of specialist functions and portfolio businesses where agreed and where required

·Advise what training and development can be delivered by the L&D team, support internal resources where required (Train the Trainer) and advise and support where external design/delivery is required

·

Management of third-party suppliers (subject to HRD approval of supplier(s) and costs)

·Recommendation of suppliers

·Specification of work required

·Approval of work produced

·Transition to BAU

Apprenticeships

·Promote the use of Apprenticeships with new and existing employees where appropriate

E-Learning

·Use online and remote learning where appropriate to deliver the most effective training in terms of embedding learning and cost of design/delivery

·Encourage the use of online, remote and blended learning across phs UK and Ireland where appropriate

·Use e-learning to measure and report on training delivered and whether learning has been embedded

Reporting and Evaluation of Training

·Produce regular and ad hoc reports for all sales L&D activity in the UK and Ireland as required

·Ensure that all training and development activity is effectively evaluated with results used to further develop and improve sales L&D Interventions

Key skills and Experience

·Proven success designing and delivering professional sales training and development interventions which drive profitable sales and improve service through effective account management.

·Proven success designing and delivering sales training and development in a commercially focussed B2B environment with "essential" not "desirable" products. We are selling washroom services not Apple!

·Personally enthusiastic about delivering training

·Able to win hearts and minds and create sustained enthusiasm for sales training and development

·Able to design deliver and analyse regular and ad hoc reports and use them to measure performance and drive improvement
