An exciting and rewarding opportunity for an agency Learning Support Assistant to join our team and provide day to day and longer-term support to young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities within school settings. The young people will have a range of learning disabilities and challenging behaviours, so you must have experience in these areas. Agency Learning Support Assistant duties include:
Your overall responsibility is to ensure all students have equal opportunities to develop themselves academically. This will be achieved by promoting the importance of education and supporting the specific needs of the young people in the classroom and during other activities. You will promote self-esteem and support the students in making informed decisions. This role may also involve a level of personal care and you will need to support with physical interventions when necessary to ensure the safety of learners and other staff. You will always be working alongside experienced members of staff who will guide you and provide essential information about the students under your care.
As a Learning Support Assistant you will be working school hours on a term time only basis.
