Lean Facilitator

Posted 4 April by Dalehead Foods

An opportunity exists within Dalehead Foods to join the Lean team. The role will be predominantly based at Linton, with occasional travel to other sites in the division for specific continuous improvement projects. The successful candidate will report into the Divisional Continuous Improvement Manager and be part of the team who delivers Lean and Continuous Improvement across our sites. Continuous Improvement (C.I) forms a strategic part of our ongoing journey as a business and is important to help us remain competitive, sustainable and a great place to work. Modern Dalehead is all about developing new behaviours and creating a cultural shift into the next phase of our growth. Lean is very much a core element of this and the successful candidate will be a part of a unified divisional team who will be helping to fulfil that key objective.

The successful candidate will be involved in the design and delivery of standard work within the butchery, yield management systems, alignment with the wider business of Tulip and Danish Crown and will be key to embedding behaviours and lean tools into the departments across the site. You will use coaching and mentoring to engage and motivate staff and practice your emotional quotient to deal with difficult and challenging individuals. This is very much a facilitation role where you will use inspiring leadership skills to help others own and develop a new way of working within their departments.

People Are Our Difference!

You will have experience of working on continuous improvement projects and using Lean tools including: coaching, PDCA, data capture, standard work, line balancing, problem solving, flow and RCA as well as strong IT skills in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word. You need to have a proven track record of working within and leading improvement projects; have a good knowledge of production KPI’s and have the ability to work both autonomously and within a team.

The ideal candidate will be professional and personable, with a determined approach to see the job through, having Dalehead’s core values at heart. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a forward thinking Lean team working at the centre of the business with its eyes set on a sustainable future. You will have an opportunity to work across the business at all levels and be actively involved, on a daily basis, in shaping the future of our business.

We value our workforce and are fully committed to developing our people and allowing them to show their full potential. If you are as serious about food as we are and ready to help us make a difference, we would like to hear from you.
