This is an exciting time to join The Futures Trust. The Trust is passionate about building brighter futures for the young people who attend its schools, and is a rapidly growing and successful Multi Academy Trust driven by a set of compelling values:

  1. Learners First - teachers and leaders totally focused upon the educational benefit of our students
  2. It's about learning - students, teachers and leaders focused upon developing and improving their learning
  3. No Barriers - no excuses, only support to ensure students, teachers and leaders maximise their achievement

This is an exciting time to join President Kennedy School and The Futures Trust. We are seeking to appoint an exceptional teacher who has the ability and capacity to raise standards of literacy in Year 7 and to ensure that all students are GCSE ready by the end of Year 8 via structured intervention teaching; to support CPDL for teachers and TAs in order to improve the consistency and quality of teaching of technical literacy in KS3 and undertake outreach work in feeder primary schools to impact on Y5/6 outcomes prior to students joining President Kennedy.

You will have significant experience of teaching in Upper KS2 in a primary school and in leading colleagues with impact within a primary school setting. A detailed knowledge of the Y5-6 literacy and numeracy curriculum and SATs assessments and thorough knowledge of initiatives at a national level and their impact on school development are essential for this role.

Staff at President Kennedy School are supported by experienced senior teachers who commit generously of their time to train and develop colleagues. The school offers focused CPD for all staff based on their future aspirations, and has a proven track record of developing excellent teachers and leaders.

At President Kennedy School everything we do is focused on Building Brighter Futures for our students, our staff and our community. We are an outstanding school with excellent examination results year after year. In 2017 the school achieved a Progress 8 score of 0.62. 42% of our students achieved 5+ in English and Maths and 64% secured 4+. These results placed the school in the top 3% of schools nationally for progress. In July 2013 the school was judged outstanding in all areas by Ofsted. The school is heavily over-subscribed and moved into a brand new building in September 2017.

Employees of the Trust have access to:
