Lead Training Coordinator

Key responsibilities include

Training Management

  • Coordination of day-to-day training activities and associated duties, balancing and identifying priorities during periods of high workload
  • Ensure all training remains cost-effective and adds value/a return to the organisation
  • Regularly review and act upon information gathered via the process of training evaluation, challenging the effectiveness of the evaluation tools used
  • Identify where corporate initiatives/programmes are required to keep up-to-date with changing internal and external standards, ensuring delivery via the Training Team
  • Ensure delivery of the annual training plan (if appropriate), via the Training Team
  • Promote the role across the organisation, taking the 'lead’ role within the Training function and act as the focal point for training queries
  • Ensure that all Training Administration is recorded accurately, to enable other members of the HR team to field queries during periods of absence/leave
  • Set Agenda for and manage monthly team meetings
  • Identify, allocate and ensure delivery on additional Training Team projects
  • Manage approvals and allocation of group courses
  • Ensure weekly and monthly reports are completed and check accuracy prior to issue
  • Ensure team KPI’s are met and investigate / respond where issues arise


  • To support, develop and manage the performance of the team on a daily basis
  • Undertake appraisals on an annual basis

Training Coordination

  • Assist in the overall management and coordination of learning & development activities
  • Maintain competence management systems
  • Maintain accurate record keeping systems, including ATS and Atheneo
  • Ensure all training processes are followed 'end-to-end’, including new starter process through to leavers process

Key skills

  • Experience of working within a Training Dept function (desirable)
