LEAD SUPPORT WORKER - DOMESTIC ABUSE PERPETRATOR PROGRAMME
UP TO £19,500 PER ANNUM PRO RATA PLUS BENEFITS
FIXED TERM CONTRACT UNTIL 30.09.18
15 Hours per week from 01.02.18 - 30.03.18 and then reducing to 9.5 Hours per week from 01.04.18 - 30.09.18
We are seeking male applicants for this role because the job role involves direct and sensitive work with male perpetrators of domestic abuse. We consider this to be a genuine occupational requirement as permitted by the Equality Act 2010.

We are looking for a Lead Support Worker to represent Core Assets Children’s Services (CACS) in providing a Domestic Abuse Perpetrator Programme. You will have a thorough understanding of domestic abuse and the complexities and dynamics of abusive behaviours. You will also have ability to communicate effectively with other professionals to manage risk within a multi-agency context.
With a background of working in social work, youth work or any other related area you will and be focussed on improving outcomes for female victims of domestic abuse and children along with having a focus on the voice of the child. It is essential that you have experience of working with perpetrators of domestic abuse as well as a sound knowledge of safeguarding procedures.
You will be required to work flexibly across the week, which may include providing some evening and weekend support as required.
