Savings & Retirement Solutions are in the process of developing a world-class customer proposition, designed for outcomes and behavioural economics, whilst always learning and adapting. The Business will be devoting a singular focus on the right customer base and on providing the right opportunities for customers around income generation and security through a long period of retirement. We will be open for business on an Omni-channel basis; as independent adviser, PFP, self-directed D2C and for employers, ready to provide guidance and advice on demand. We will be driving a competitive cost base suited to acquiring, retaining and consolidating customer value in all channels. The team is responsible for the design and development of a platform business that will service both Retail and Corporate markets. The team will be responsible for developing the capability to support the business channels and being accountable for the proposition design, development, delivery and commerciality of the proposition.

This role will lead the Solution Managers to deliver a compelling, engaging, digitally centric omni-channel multi-wrapper solutions.

Purpose statements:  

  • Lead Solution Managers will set the direction for solution manager as to how to deliver a compelling, engaging, digitally centric omni-channel multiwrapper solutions.

  • Lead Solution Managers will be critical member of the feature teams ensuring PruWealth leverages digital technology to maintain scalable, repeatable, efficient, secure and low cost end to end solutions and will ensure the correct Lead/Solution Manager is aligned to the relevant feature team.

  • Lead Solution Managers will be responsible for ensuring optimal utilisation of the core investment offers developed for PruWealth as pertinent to their responsibilities within the solution portfolio.

  • Lead Solution Managers are expected to be visible advocates for new ways of working that foster empowerment, collaboration and accountability underpinned by a constant focus on customer.

  • Lead Solution Managers will produce a business plan for products/funds/projects within their assigned portfolio to maximise the end to end value generated for the customer and the business(managing key metrics such as profitability, capital usage, planned margin etc) They will ensure this is maintained by themselves and the Solution Managers

  • Lead Solution Managers will work with the wider business to co-ordinate the management of the end to end proposition experience

  • Lead Solution Managers will identify opportunities for improvements to existing solutions, incorporating tax wrappers, pricing, operational efficiency, service proposition and distribution proposition to drive greater commercial value and achieve P&L targets and drive these through to delivery

  • Lead Solution Managers will define key product marketing messages and marketing requirements for their assigned portfolio and work with relevant marketing teams to ensure effective delivery of these requirements

  • Lead Solution Managers will monitor performance of assigned portfolio against key financial metrics defined in the annual plan and deliver changes/ adjustments as required, and the performance of solution managers working in these teams

  • Lead Solution Managers will scope and deliver special projects or assignments to drive commercial value

Accountabilities:

  • Manage the end to end proposition life-cycle for those products/funds/processes assigned within a solution portfolio ensuring value generated for the customer and the business is optimised (managing key metrics as agreed )

  • Proposition Life Cycle Management includes:

  • Identification of opportunities for improvements to existing products, pricing, operational efficiency, service proposition and distribution proposition to drive greater commercial value and achieve P&L targets, agree their positioning within the overall solution backlog and drive these through to deliver

  • Defining key marketing messages and marketing requirements for assigned portfolio and work with relevant marketing teams to ensure effective delivery of these requirements

  • Monitor performance of assigned portfolio against key performance metrics defined making interventions as required to attain target outcomes

  • To ensure solution design principles and decisions are consistently applied across all components of the portfolio for which the Lead Solutions manager is accountable

  • Anticipate and resolve cross functional business issues arising in solution development and build

  • Ensure solutions comply with the strategic and operational requirements of the business including all applicable regulation

You will have:

  • A strong understanding of the Financial Services Industry across multiple dimensions, including but not limited to customers, competitors, suppliers and regulators, together with the trends emerging therein

  • Great commercial acumen and insight

  • A strong level of understanding of tax wrappers, platform and broader digital technologies applicable in the FS sector, of behavioural science as applied to all stakeholders in the sector and of the proposition life cycle process

  • A good knowledge of operational processes and customer service propositions

  • A strong and developed knowledge of fund design, operation and governance

  • Experience and good understanding of agile management techniques and DevOps methodology

  • Detailed knowledge of the financial dynamics of products and market

  • Working knowledge of a broad range of distribution mechanisms

  • Detailed knowledge of financial services, regulatory and legislatory framework

  • Detailed knowledge of industry best practice, with good networks/links with external bodies and individuals in the same field
