Lead PHP Developer

Due to business expansion, our client are looking for a Technical Lead Developer to drive the mobile growth of their website.

As a business, they are investing heavily in mobile and are looking for a new colleague to guide and implement mobile-specific solutions to deliver a best in class mobile experience for both customers and property owners.

This is a newly created role that will manage a team of developers, ensuring that high quality, robust code is produced.

You will be involved in the analysis, design and implementation of mobile strategy and responsible for producing and delivering detailed technical specifications and improvements to existing systems and procedures.

This is a highly-visible role that will make genuine commercial impact to the business from day one, and the Technical Lead will be responsible for building strong working relationships with other areas of the business as part of a seamless mobile experience for end users.

About You

We are looking for around five years of commercial experience as a PHP developer, preferably including mentoring and managing others. You will have strong experience in Code Igniter/ MVC frameworks and MySQL/ SQL servers, as well as strong Javascript, HTML and CSS skills.

You will have experience of working on e-commerce sites, and take a commercially focussed approach to design and decision making. You will also have created and delivered detailed technical specifications.

Experience of working on high-traffic websites, A/B testing design changes and working with AWS technologies would be beneficial, but aren't essential.
