The Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt Orthopaedic Hospital NHS Foundation Trust (RJAH) based in Oswestry, Shropshire, close to the border with Wales is a leading Orthopaedic Centre of excellence with a reputation for innovation. The Trust provides a comprehensive range of musculoskeletal (bone, joint and tissue) surgical, medical and rehabilitation services; locally, regionally and nationally.
Who we’re looking for
We are looking for an enthusiastic, forward thinking and experienced Pharmacist to join our Pharmacy team. This will be a senior post responsible for leading the Clinical Trials Service and Education and Training . Ideally you will be an independent prescriber however this is not essential. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a specialist pharmacy team working closely with multi-disciplinary clinical teams including consultants, registrars, specialist nurse practitioners, dieticians and psychologists.

As a department we continually aim to improve patient care and to promote professional development. We are a forward thinking department having recently invested in electronic pharmaceutical care planning. To meet the needs of our patients we provide ward-based clinical pharmacy and have a team of independent prescribers.
The successful candidate will have well developed communication, interpersonal and IT skills, a desire for self-development and organisational skills. The post holder will also be expected to work on Saturdays and an allocated Bank Holiday in the dispensary on a rotational basis.
