Lead Nurse - Emergency & Acute Medicine

An exciting opportunity has arisen in Emergency Care and Medical Specialties based at the Royal Alexandra Hospital working within the nursing and multi professional team. We are looking for a forward thinking, Lead Nurse to manage and lead the nursing team for a large part of our service. The areas managed will include the Emergency Department, the Medical Assessment Unit, the Acute Medical Receiving Unit, the Coronary Care Unit and the Cardiology ward. You will in conjunction with your senior nurses lead the team to ensure a high standard of care for this patient group. This is a very intense working environment and you will be expected to rise to this challenge. The ability to be calm under pressure is a priority as well as possessing excellent communication and organisational skills. You must be a Registered Adult Nurse with current NMC registration and have substantial experience at a senior level with relevant experience working at the level of Senior Charge Nurse. You should be educated to Masters Level or evidence working at that level. You should have significant experience working in an acute receiving environment. Your shift pattern will be over 7 days, day shift predominantly. This post requires membership of Disclosure Scotland's PVG Scheme.
