Landmarc is a support services company contracted to provide a safe and sustainable training estate for the Defence Infrastructure Organisation branch of the MOD. Landmarc's sites cover 3% of the UK's land mass and you'll be working from their Head Office location in Tilshead, North of Salisbury.
Ongoing work on multi-million pound contracts with their MOD client in combination with the expansion of their business into new markets, has facilitated the growth of their technical team. A key part of this expansion is to build on the existing Enterprise Architecture with solutions architecture skills and experience for designing and delivering future solutions.
Your new role
The Landmarc IT landscape has undergone a complete transformation in recent years both in terms of the team structure and the technical stack the Application Development Team are responsible for. IT truly underpins the wider business strategy, being seen as an enabler for the company to grow and achieve targets. It's a friendly, welcoming environment that's well organised with a team focused on delivering quality.
Reporting to the Applications Development and Support Manager this is a hybrid position covering core .Net Development (at least 50%) and Solutions Architecture (can be up to 50% of role). It's a dynamic position and your focus on the areas just listed will flex depending on the projects being undertaken. The role also offers great technical variety around the Microsoft .Net stack which also includes SharePoint, the Microsoft BI Stack and Azure for cloud services.
With many projects running concurrently it's crucial that you are multifaceted, multi-skilled and relish a 'one team' culture where staff are encouraged to utilise the breadth of their technical capabilities and bring new ideas to the table.
Landmarc is looking to expand its in house technical capability and takes great pride in ensuring all the IT team are given access to an excellent training package to keep them at the leading edge of technology.
What you'll need to succeed
You will have gained an excellent level of experience covering application development and will be able to evidence at interview how you have applied and worked with architectural practices. It's important you have a desire to remain in a hands-on role.

* Experience of working within the ITIL framework
