Central to this role is the successful delivery of a test automation service to planned releases and projects across the Virgin Money portfolio. You will lead and support colleagues on a variety of activities, from building testing automation frameworks, managing tooling, resolving technical or automation problems and building continuous integration platforms. We’re always looking to improve our systems, so we’re looking for a self-starter who is constantly scanning the IT landscape for technology & practices that can help make banking even better. We also need someone with the ability to build strong business knowledge, and who understands our key challenges and drivers in the Financial Services sector.
The successful candidate will be highly organised, with the ability to manage all automated test processes. We need someone with exceptional stakeholder management skills, in order to maintain our strong client relationships. Our trusted and valued service providers have an onshore and offshore presence, so experience of this, and cultural awareness, is a must. Communication is also key, as you will provide direction and guidance on all technical aspects of Test Automation. It’s a varied and exciting role so you’ll enjoy multi-tasking as part of an awesome team to deliver quality products [safely], provide support and guidance to colleagues and contribute to the strategic roadmap within your specialist area of Test and Quality Management.
To be brilliant, you’ll have a passion for the implementation and improvement of test automation services. We need someone with sound knowledge of automation tools, such as Selenium and Tosca and associated coding skills. If you have knowledge of Agile and DevOps working environments, as well as building Continuous Integration Pipelines, then we would love to hear from you.
• Implementation and continuous improvement of automation frameworks
• Knowledge of scripting languages and Oracle, Java and Integration technologies
• Knowledge of automation tooling (particularly Selenium and Tosca)
• ITIL or ISTQB Certification
• Knowledge of Microsoft Team Foundation Server
