Lead Independent End-Point Assessor
Full Time, Mon - Fri

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Take part in regular training and standardisation activities, associated with the role of independent end-point assessor
  • Maintain and provide evidence of up to date and ongoing, relevant Continuous Professional Development (CPD)
  • Assess the performance and/or knowledge of learners in accordance with published assessment standards, grading criteria and procedures, ensuring overall standards are maintained
  • Follow the protocols set out in assessment standards, assessment materials and quality assurance processes, relating to end-point assessments
  • Maintain service-level agreements with regards to responding to end-point assessment planning, operational activities, reports and submissions of assessment outcomes
  • Report all risks and issues encountered during the end-point assessment to the Head of Assessment Services, including any suspected malpractice/maladministration
  • Ensure all end-point assessment reports and assessment evidence are high quality and recorded accurately
  • Support company, if necessary, with any appeals from apprentices, regarding assessment decisions
  • Undertake remote and/or travel to end-point assessment appointments where necessary and in a timely manner
  • Raise any conflicts of interest, including in relation to the independence of assessment
  • Ensure that any personal actions are completed, as required by company
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of company end-point assessment activities, and quality assurance activities as and when required

Key Competencies

  • Good knowledge of End point Assessment on a variety of Standards including Customer Service, Business Administration, Team Leader/Supervisor and Operational Management
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft office software and e-portfolio systems
  • Evidence of assessing learner competence, at the level or above of the end-point assessment or as specified in the assessment standard
  • Hold sector specific qualifications, assessor, and IV qualifications (e.g. A1,V1, TAQA etc) and/or as specified in the assessment standard
  • Qualified to Management L5 or equivalent
  • Experience of leading meetings/structured interviews/discussions
  • Evidence of commitment to maintaining CPD, in line with the company Assess/end-point assessment standard requirements
