Job Title: Lead Engineer (Mobile)

Based (region/office): Newmarket / Cambridge Sites

A Mobile Lead Engineer is required to join a leading Mechanical, Electrical and Fabric property maintenance company. This is a great opportunity for a Mobile Lead Engineers to be mobile within the Newmarket / Cambridge Sites.

Brief details of position:

A vacancy has arisen for a full time Mobile Lead Engineer, working on a high profile contract for various sites within Cambridge area.

The role will include:

  • Hands on approach
  • Providing full support to the client management team.
  • Ensuring all contract requirements are met.
  • Ensure H&S and statutory compliance
  • Ensuring documentation for all sites is kept up to date
  • Carrying out site inspections / audits
  • Managing workload of the site services operative
  • Management of contractors
  • Producing quotations within agreed timescales
  • Carrying out tasks, as requested by client
  • Carrying out weekly and monthly PPM tasks.
  • Flexible working, as required, for out of hours working.

Responsibilities:

  • To deliver agreed levels of Customer Service on a day to day basis.
  • Ensure all Security requirements are completed by the company & Sub-contractors
  • Understand and comply with site Health & safety requirements at all times
  • Manage the workload for carrying out PPM maintenance and repair activities.
  • Ensure access & scheduling of PPM tasks are agreed by client
  • Ensure access & scheduling of sub-contractor activities are agreed by client
  • Carry out M&E and fabric maintenance together with minor repairs.
  • Ensure that all statutory tasks are completed to keep sites compliant
  • Ensure that all paperwork and site logbooks are fully up to date
  • Carry out a variety of tasks relating to client building operations
  • Carry out site inspections/audits at regular intervals.
  • Keep plant and work areas clean and tidy.
  • Escort duties to sub-contractors as requested.
  • Carry out or assist in carrying out small projects as required.
  • Possess a thorough understanding of and working relationship with the client’s day to day business operation.

Knowledge skills & experience:

  • Time served apprenticeship or equivalent
  • Experienced Multi skilled engineer (Electrically biased)
  • C&G/NVQ in electrical discipline with 17th Edition IEE qualification
  • Understand and comply with site Health & safety requirements at all times
  • Evidence of high quality experience in Building Services.
  • Working to Planned Preventative and Reactive maintenance regimes.
  • Knowledge of lone working requirements.
  • Risk assessment and method statement trained.
  • Use to working to commercial PPM requirements.
  • Knowledge and use of computer software (Microsoft Office, BMS/Lighting systems),
  • Sound level of administration and organisational skills

Desirable:

  • IOSH Managing Safety qualification
  • Supervisory experience

Person Specification:

  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Must be physically fit.
  • Committed to the delivery of excellent customer service.
  • Must be flexible regarding works hours as sites require.
  • Most hold a full UK driving licence.
  • To wear company issued uniform at all times when on sites and to be smartly presented.
  • To only complete tasks which you are competent to do so and raise any issue before work is carried out.
  • Computer literate.
