Lead .Net Developer, Gateshead
c£47,000, negotiable depending on experience

My client needs to hire a talented Lead .Net Developer who will have the confidence to take on projects from the outset, working in diverse project teams including operational staff, client stakeholders and often third party development teams and Project Managers. You will manage a small team of 2 Developers, provide technical leadership, mentoring and training where necessary. In addition, you will implement best practice approaches and oversee development standards, research new technologies and set technical direction as-well as designing the architecture of key systems. Working in a busy department, your breadth of experience and ability to learn and share new skills with colleagues will be tested daily.

Projects will vary and you will develop solutions for Desktop, Client /Server and the Web. You will be involved in the full life-cycle of development from initial discussion to implementation and will take part in developing all elements of a system, from the database engine through to the business rules layer and the user interface. Primarily your development skills will be in C#.Net/SQL Server but you'll need to be a strong all-rounder or a very quick learner as upcoming projects require help in determining the right technologies to use as well as integration projects and migration/integration of legacy applications.

Applicants should have experience/exposure in a number of areas including:

- C# .NET

- VB.NET

- MS SQL Server / SSIS / SSRS / SSAS

- ASP.NET (C# or VB.NET)

- Web Services (WCF / ASMX / ReST / JSON)

- XML

- HTML / CSS / Java Script / jQuery
