Lead Developer needed to join a seriously cool and innovative digital agency at their awesome studio in central Bristol. They’re looking for a self-motivated developer to lead their team of 4 developers on exciting web and app projects for an amazing array of clients from the Music, Entertainment, Festivals and Retail industries. Working within this down-to-earth, sociable team you’ll be able to put some really impressive projects under your belt in a hands-on lead developer role with a real input into the success and growth of the company.

What experience you'll need
  • Extensive OOP PHP, MySQL experience.
  • PHP frameworks (Laravel, Symfony or similar).
  • Agile/Scrum project leadership with some mentoring/coaching experience.
  • CMS module development (Wordpress, Drupal, other).
  • HTML5, CSS3 (SASS/LESS), Javascript (JQuery)
  • GIT / version control.
  • Interest in learning Angular, React and other modern frameworks/emerging tech.
  • 3rd party API integration experience.
What you'll be doing

This creative, forward-thinking agency are one of the South-West’s most revered, you’ll be developing some seriously impressive products with the freedom to contribute and select/evaluate the tech you need to make your work amazing. Working in a mostly 50-50 hands on to team/project lead role you’ll be responsible for the output quality and delivery of some outstanding products for key clients. You’ll be operating closely with the Tech Director and Digital PM’s to lead the development team with duties covering running sprints, sprint-reviews, standups and general Scrum Master duties. They’re moving to a React/Vue and Laravel based set-up so you’ll be instrumental in identifying and evaluating tech implementing process to help this to happen. In addition you’ll be planning and estimating projects, mentoring junior members (peer review etc) and helping to drive improvements in quality and efficiency.
