As our new Lead Credit Risk Analyst you will play a key part in our Big Data projects for leading FinTech & traditional financial institutions team. Your role will be to support others within the team on client modelling projects run whilst also helping to create first class documentation for distribution to both internal and external clients.

You will lead assignments that encompass our more complex modelling projects, such as scorecard development, monitoring exercises or develop benefits cases for new product and data releases for clients.

Applying advanced SAS statistical modelling techniques, the Lead Credit Risk Analyst will assist consultants across the team on credit scorecard assignments, ensuring we deliver a first in class service offering.

Responsibilities of the Lead Credit Risk Analyst include:

  • Undertake proof of concept and benefits case development for new data, products or services; demonstrating credible and polished delivery to customers.
  • Perform the key stages of scorecard and model development projects to required quality standards and project timescales, covering all stages, including sample design, performance analysis, population split analysis and reject inference.
  • Using predictive and statistical modelling techniques to create custom client scorecard solutions, ensuring clients meet their business objectives covering all stages, including sample design, performance analysis, and population split analysis.
  • Utilise technologies such as SAS to build statistical models such as; Decision Trees, Exploratory Data Analysis, CHAID analysis, Logistic Regression, Linear Regression, Principle Component Analysis, and Cluster Analysis.
  • Provide expert support to the team in end to end development of scorecard models (PD, LGD, EAD).
  • Responsibility for the production and delivery of retrospective and current customer review analyses to set quality standards and Service Level Agreements.
  • To create and manage adherence to project plans for projects spanning up to 6 months, for assigned resource.
  • Undertake proof of concept and benefits case development for new data, products or services; demonstrating credible and polished delivery to customers.



Essential experience Requirements for Lead Credit Risk Analyst:

  • Minimum of 4 years' experience using statistical packages such as SAS, R, and SQL, supporting risk model development.
  • Proven experience in the hands on scorecard development, e.g. application and behavioural scorecards, using logistic regression.
  • Minimum of 4 years relevant experience of working with UK Banks or Financial Service providers
  • Relevant degree in Mathematics or Statistics with a pass level 2:1 or above.



Preferred experience Requirements for Lead Credit Risk Analyst:

  • Relevant Masters (MSc) in Mathematics or Statistics
