Lead Contracts Manager – Liverpool – 7 month FTC with potential for extension

The Role

The Contracts Manager will provide support to our Supply Chain Management and Operations teams, producing all contractual documentation relating to initiating, maintaining and closing our relationships with supply chain partners and sub-contractors.

Your main responsibilities would include:
  • Producing sound contracts that pass commercial and financial risk to supply chain partners, ensuring all necessary expectations around performance, finance and data security are included
  • Handling any amendments, variations or breaches of contracts and any terminations
  • Clear communication with the Supply Chain Management team across the country regarding specific contractual terms
  • Notifying the management team of minor and major breaches, including invocation of step-in rights
  • Closing down of contracts either at the end of the contract life or termination
  • Line management of the Contracts Co-ordinator

    Skills and Experience

    Essential Criteria
  • Demonstrable experience of reviewing and drafting business to business contractual agreements
  • Demonstrable experience of supporting Operations staff to manage multiple contracts/clients
  • Experience of working proactively and reactively to respond to urgent contract change requests, while focusing on continuous improvement
  • Demonstrable understanding of coordination and administration of multiple agreements across a supply chain
  • Experience in a fast-paced, service-focused target driven environment
  • Degree or equivalent relevant qualification
  • Attention to detail, exemplary time management skills, clear communication and structured decision making

     Desirable Criteria
  • Certificate in Contract Management or other relevant qualification
  • Previous experience in Public Sector programmes.
  • Awareness of and interest in public sector contracting
