Lead Conference Producer - £23k (+£5k OTE)

We are a commercial conference company in Central London offering an excellent career opportunity to the right candidate. Our Deputy Production Director requires a bright and dynamic Lead Conference Producer to join a fast-growing business.

This is an opportunity for a Conference Producer with at least one year's experience who has learned the core aspects of conference production and wants to take their first step towards management by leading a team of two (Trainee) Conference Producers. This role would suit an ambitious, well-rounded and organised individual looking to play an important part in the company’s continued growth.

The role:

  • Required hiring and training to build & maintain your team and ensure they develop all necessary core production skills
  • Monitoring & performance of your team’s core production activities (agenda research & writing plus speaker acquisition etc.) including all relevant documents including but not limited to research scripts, draft agendas & speaker wish lists

  • Weekly reporting of your team’s activities to their manager(s)
  • Responsibility for the completion of all events produced by your team

  • Produce your own portfolio of five conferences per year
  • Telephone research with senior industry executives to gain a good understanding of the industry and burning issues

  • Develop the strategic direction of each event to create highly relevant and targeted programmes

  • Identify and recruit senior industry executives to speak at the event

  • Build and maintain strong relationships and levels of communication with your industry contacts

  • Manage content of all event promotional materials including the conference brochure, event website and promotional email campaigns

  • Strategic responsibility for marketing, sales, operations and logistics on each of your events

  • On site event management. Most of your conferences are likely to be abroad, mainly in Europe but also beyond.
