The Lead Clinical Risk Coordinator post is located within the Women and Children's Directorate. The post holder will be part of a team responsible for implementing the NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde (NHSGGC) Clinical Governance Strategy and Framework and the corresponding work programmes. You will work with the Senior Clinical Team from the Women and Children's Directorate and the clinical risk midwives to make a substantial contribution to ensuring that clinical care and services are high quality, safe, effective and person centred, by implementing key policies, guidelines and strategies; teaching, facilitating, coaching, mentoring and promoting the use of improvement science and evidence based practice. You will be Responsible for ensuring the systems and processes which adopt a systematic approach to the analysis, evaluation and minimisation of clinical risk are in place in the Directorate. Oversee the management of (clinical and non-clinical) incidents in accordance with Clinical Governance and Risk Management Standards. Provide advice, training and education and posesses high level leadership and managerial skills. Educated to Degree level in a relevant degree or risk management qualification You should be educated to Degree level in a relevant field for example; Nursing Midwifery Allied Health Professional, Bio-medical science, Pharmacy or other professional with specialist knowledge, or has acquired in-depth expertise and experience. You should also have a Professional qualification in related field e.g. Risk Management. The shift pattern for this post is Monday - Friday.
