We are a small locally run business who take pride in offering the highest levels of customer service and attention to detail when carrying out work on customers’ lawns.

Due to our continued growth & success we are looking to recruit permanent lawn manager to start ASAP.

About You

Minimum Age 25 for Van Insurance Purposes Only

Full UK clean driving license

Reliable, well rounded and an enthusiastic individual with a strong work ethic capable of employing a large degree of common sense.

Fully embrace the concept of and practice of exceptional Customer Service and be proficient in working to a high standard.

Possess excellent communication skills, both verbal and written as you will be working in a customer facing role.

Self-motivated and able to work under your own initiative whilst at the same time being a team player.

Flexible to work additional or varied hours depending on the needs of the business.

This role is physically demanding and can involve heavy lifting and handling. Ideally, you will be used to working outdoors in all weathers.

About The Job.

The successful candidate will work with our existing Lawn Manager visiting a number of domestic lawns on a daily basis and assisting with the application of fertiliser, weed killer and moss control products - also carrying out scarification, aeration and lawn renovation services; this is machine work which can be heavy.

The role will include face to face liaison with customers, dealing with clients’ questions and giving advice on the lawn in a professional manner.

Willingness to learn, a strong work ethic and the ability to work unsupervised are highly desirable qualities.

It is essential that you are presentable and possess good communication skills as this is a customer facing role.

Experience or strong interest in gardening/landscaping, practical/manual work and basic mechanics are also an advantage.

If the candidate shows the above qualities and has expressed a desire to progress they will receive the additional training required to enable them to work unsupervised including NPTCPA1 and PA6a application of pesticide. They will also be expected to maintain a high level of knowledge regarding lawns & being able to identify most lawn weeds by name, knowing which products work most effectively on them.

At this stage a full driver’s licence, valid to drive in the UK would be essential as you will be working on your own and will need to drive.

All necessary equipment, uniforms, vehicles and training will be provided.

Bonuses are available for individuals who excel and commission is paid for new business sales.

You will be working within our territory of Banbury, Brackley, Bicester, Buckingham, Aylesbury, Kidlington.

Pay commensurate on age and experience.

Qualifications/Experience

Any previous experience in a similar role would be a benefit but not essential as full training will be given.

A demonstrable interest in gardening/landscaping, practical/manual work and basic mechanics are also an advantage.

NPTCPA1 & PA6 qualifications would be a significant advantage but are not essential.

Full driver’s licence, valid to drive in the UK is preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: £17,000.00 to £18,000.00 /year
