Laser production engineer

I have an new and fantastic opportunity with an outstanding client for a position of a Laser production engineer.

Duties include but not limited to:

- Project management of several key projects, to timescale and budget constraints. Supervise and guide day to day manning of project. Deal with customers, suppliers and sales team in challenging situations maintaining project delivery.

- Deal effectively with enquires, liaise with the sales team, customer and suppliers. Ensure on time delivery of proposal. Identify level of detail/timeframe required at proposal stage.

- Time management to allow completion of multiple project and proposal tasks in parallel. Identify need for delegation of tasks to achieve delivery. Ability to prioritise tasks.

- Identify and develop new technology, relating to laser machine options including methods, programming and CAM.

Experience needed:

- Installation of laser products, including integrating lasers with beam delivery and positioning equipment.

- Electronic design and trouble-shooting procedures for laser control and data acquisition.

- Laser cutting, including operation and maintenance of associated hardware, including mechanical fixtures, gas handling and motion control equipment.

- Flat-bed laser cutter platforms and related computer-aided manufacturing software.

- Motion control programming and conduct material processing trials;

- Deal with difficult situations in a professional manner. Uses own experience and initiative, to bring to a successful conclusion.
