Working as part of a team to ensure the timely laser printing of customer jobs, meeting client specifications and adhering to production schedules to meet or exceed customer mailing dates.

Operation of in house printer system to control movements of all print files across cut sheet and continuous laser printers.
Ability to operate all printing equipment in accordance with customer specifications and works instructions.
Ensure appropriate print file is processed through correct print system and allocated to correct print equipment.
Ensure appropriate type and volume of stationery is ordered and loaded onto relevant printers in accordance with customer specifications and works instructions.
Ensure set up and print of all documentation to customer specifications.
Carry out regular quality checks throughout the Print process to ensure 100% accuracy against customer specification.
Ensure the timely and accurate completion of downtime logs as necessary.
Monitor stock levels and pre-empt shortfalls in stationery requirements, replenishing supplies accordingly.
Ensure timely movement of completed printed stationery to relevant. production area in accordance with production schedules.
Ensure all unused stationery is returned to the warehouse in accordance with warehousing and stock return procedures.
Diagnose and resolve minor hardware and software problems by clearing jams, conducting minor repairs and resolving minor mechanical and technical issues as appropriate.
Carry out general daily maintenance to all printers, supporting call out engineers in any additional maintenance and repairs to printers as required.
Assist in the training of new Laser Print Operators through effective communication of technical skills and knowledge.
Assist in Continuous development and review of departmental Standard. Operating Procedures (SOP’s), ensuring these are adhered to.
Ensure that Standard Operating Procedures and Safe Systems of Work are available for all tasks carried out where necessary and are up to date.
Ensure departmental housekeeping is maintained to required standards.
Ensure adherence by self & department to Company Security, Quality, Environmental, Health & Safety and FSC / PEFC Chain of Custody standards at all times.
Key relationships with Leadership Team, Line Managers and daily contact with staff at all levels / in all areas within the business.

Capability, Knowledge and Experience:

Excellent Literacy and numeracy skills
Excellent PC Literacy
Knowledge / experience in manufacturing / supply chain environment
Understanding of customer requirements
Understanding / awareness of Continuous Improvement Techniques
Good working knowledge of Prisma Production
Good working knowledge of cut sheet and continuous laser printers
Experience of print / production processes and environments
Full understanding of quality and other ad hoc customer requirements
Ability to interpret information detailed on works instructions and action accordingly
Good technical & mechanical knowledge
